Neben her acting, Tautou pursued modelling and was the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Amelie was a global success on the screen and won awards around all over the world. It is the top-grossing French film to be released in the United States. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of films that ranged from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday of fiancailles.
