Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 in the Olympic event. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci as she was only six years old. At first, she competed in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she won. She took home three golds at her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a communist bloc countries. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974, she became the junior all-round champion. In her debut as a senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and one argent. She was the first female ever to perform a backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. Along with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the world of entertainment in her teens. Early on she was a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
